Our Client One Sight a Non Profit Organization working with the Ministry of Health to improve vision care in Rwanda is looking to hire an In Country Project Manager in Rwanda.

Major duties and responsibilities: Rwanda

As In-Country Project Manager the consultant in Rwanda will assist in planning and supervision of the Vision Centre in Ruhengeri and potentially other sites across the Country.

Build, develop and grow strategies vital to the success of the project.
Work within budget.

Track and upwardly communicate all Project milestones and deliverables.

Weekly upward communications to all senior project managers on deliverables.
Work closely with Ruhengeri District Hospital and there team in order to achieve all deliverables on the project plan set by OneSight.

Develop and maintain relationships with RDH as well as have a strong relationship with RBC to ensure Key Metrics are delivered

Working with OneSight special skills team to deliver key metrics.
Foster Teamwork amongst the RDH Team as well as RBC and any other partners involved in the project.

Take ownership and accountability on all OneSight supplied equipment.

Work with RDH Leadership Team to ensure performance is achieved
Adhere to all OneSight Policies and Procedures as defined in this agreement and any future agreements.

Supervise and coordinate all shipments from OneSight into Rwanda
Continually defines ways to increase associate and partner satisfaction and strengthen relationships.

Develop and maintain working relationships with OneSight partners, potential partners and other international organizations.

Reinforce team approach throughout practice both on projects/clinics and internal initiatives.
Establish a culture that embraces diversity and maximizes the learnings from a diverse team.

Lead Project processes, procedures and risks.

Other services as discussed and agreed upon with OneSight.

Key Requirements for Role:

Strong understanding of the Rwandan Health System

Strong Operational background to ensure all Pilot Practices are achieved

Strong Communication Skills to maintain and build relationships at Ministry Level

Flexibility to work in other locations outside of Kigali e.g. Ruhengeri.

Other requirements:

Relevant academic degree (e.g. in NGO or Business Management, Health Management, International / Community Development, Public Administration,

Sociology). An advanced degree would be an advantage

Minimum of ten years of progressive work experience, preferably in the Health Sector with a local or international development organization

Experience in the Eye Health Sector in Rwanda will be preferred

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management position in the Health Sector

Demonstrated experience in Project Design and Project Cycle Management

Experience in working with the Ministry of Health, local and international donor organizations, and other partners

Knowledge of health development issues, especially in health systems reforms and advocacy an asset

The ability to travel domestically and internationally will also be essential

Must be Fluent in written and spoken English and Kinyarwanda. French will be an added advantage
