USAID to launch Rwf 630m Twiceceka Project

Kigali: The Twiceceka Projetct with a support of 630 million Rwf by USAID will be launched to day, and its main objective in raise awareness about gender-based violence and to aid gender-based violence prevention in Rwanda. USAID to launch Rwf 630m Twiceceka Project

The event launch will be attended by the guest of honor, the Minister of Gender and Family Promotion, the US Ambassador to Rwanda, Peter Vrooman, other GOR officials, and civil society organizations.

The new USAID Twiceceka project will fight gender-based violence by providing technical assistance and resources to select civil society organizations. These civil society organizations will, in turn, work with the Government of Rwanda to implement policies and programs to effectively address gender-based violence.

The launch is organized in partnership with the Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion. The launch is following a three day Gender Based Violence and Advocacy Mapping Conference at the Marriott Hotel, attended by civil society organizations and GOR representatives. (End)
